Branemind has been selected into the Sarvam AI startup programme. Sarvam builds sovereign, India-first models, and that matters for a specific and unromantic reason: most frontier models are excellent in English and merely acceptable in Marathi, Kannada or Bhojpuri, and acceptable is not good enough on a support call.
What it unlocks
- Indic language models tuned for the code-mixed speech real callers use, rather than clean written text.
- Speech recognition that holds up on mid-range handsets and poor connections, which is where the volume is.
- Data residency and sovereignty options for customers in regulated sectors who cannot send audio offshore.
This work lands first in BM Voice and BM Relay. Our multilingual voice agent already runs live in nine languages at p95 320ms. The programme is how we push both of those numbers.
